Flooring & Carpet Installation
Once you’ve done the hard yards and picked the flooring or carpet you want, the next big decision is who will take care of the installation.
It is only in recent times that the Australian Government have started viewing floor layers as tradespeople though there is still no ‘official’ certification required to do this job. This results in a lack of training in the industry and is something we strive to enforce when it comes to our very own install team.
Many modern floor coverings presently on the market require specialised skills to ensure a correct, professional installation is achieved.
We offer our customers a complete peace of mind guarantee that an ethical and experienced layer will make your selection look amazing in your home.
We have decades of experience and know our craft. Our previous projects span across residential homes in the Northern Beaches and beyond along with large government DOH contracts for the floor covering supply and maintenance of over 3,000 homes. Blue Tongue Carpets are also honoured to be recommended and approved by the Catholic Diocese of Broken Bay following flooring install and maintenance throughout the Sydney Catholic (and public) schools network.
Questions to ask prior to selecting your flooring company
- Are your installers subcontractors working as a Pty Ltd company with their own workers compensation policy?
- Do they have current Public Liability Cover?
- Are they holders of a current OHS Work Cover "White Card"?
- Do they have their own induction program?
- Is their business fully Work Cover compliant in regards to all OH&S requirements?
At Blue Tongue Carpets the answers are yes, yes, yes, yes & yes.
We have a small (and awesome) team of highly skilled tradesmen along with an active and hands on managing director. Our formal training includes a high work ethic, current trade practice and attention to detail.
We make sure our flooring and carpet layers are the best paid, trained and treated installers in Sydney because you get the best out of a happy tradie.
